Why MoneyEQ is More Important Than MoneyIQ
I just finished the MoneyEQ online course from MindValley, which is a really interesting course with a great and fun mentor: Ken Honda, as well as the inspiring brain re-wiring expert: Dr. Scott Mills.
Before the course I knew I had money-related issues: money seems to come and go, and periodically I’d be having money-related stress of not being able to meet financial needs on a personal level or for the companies I founded.
However, after learning that: we really should treat ‘money’ as a great friend, and we all have our different ‘money types’, as well as our past ‘money wounds’. Learning the different types of myself and those around explains the conflicts we often face (and point towards potential resolutions), and healing ‘money wounds’ have made me a lot more conscious of my issues with money, which could stem from past family education and/or personal trauma.
For example, my mother has always taught me that ‘money is dirty’ (people will fight and do all sorts of bad things to make money), and that business people are in general greedy and evil (so you should stay away from them or that occupation), those “teachings” probably had left a scar and hinder my ability to do well in business for a while.
Although it’ll take time to digest and implement the healing from past wounds, I do already feel there’s much hope and light regarding my attitude and future relation with “money”, which we should treat as a great friend who can support us and help us in need, and that we should also respectfully treat.
Great course and mentor and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s not happy about their current relation with money!
